Resettled 70 Families; Grants to 300 Families
Over the past three years, Neighbors for Refugees has provided approximately $750,000 of
assistance to new refugee families and families who are already in the U.S through our
resettlement program and grants. In total, we’ve helped approximately 360 families (over
1,100 individuals).

Our Refugee Commitment, Expectations & How You Can Help
Neighbors for Refugees is determined to welcome and support refugee families – both those soon-to-arrive and those who are already members of our communities – no matter what happens under the new Trump administration. Neighbors’ financial and volunteer support
helps refugee families meet their many (and likely increasing) challenges: housing, food,
learning English, employment, school enrollment, tutoring, navigating the health system, and the like.

Welcoming Refugees as Quickly as Possible
As you can imagine, for anyone deeply involved in welcoming refugees to our country, we were
surprised and saddened by the election results on November 5th. The incoming administration
has expressed hostility to foreigners, and we expect the pipeline for entry into the U.S. for refugees will be severely curtailed, if not almost closed completely.
