Our Defend and Thrive Gala

Defend — Because resettled families in our community face real threats to safety, housing, and dignity.

Thrive — Because survival is not enough. Every family deserves the chance to build a future filled with hope and opportunity.

On Thursday, October 23, 2025, we are thrilled to honor Larchmont Temple for its steadfast commitment to helping refugees and asylees. The Temple and its members have supported Neighbors for Refugees since our inception, including hosting appreciation events and refugee shabbats, providing volunteers, and awarding numerous grants to support our work.

We look forward to welcoming guests, volunteer and honorees to our evening gala. In addition to dinner and drinks, we will be holding an auction-like paddle raise to encourage guests to “buy” resources for our refugee families to Defend and Thrive – including legal counsel and financial support.
