ICNAW has Joined Neighbors for Refugees!

Founded in 2015 in response to the Syrian refugee crisis, the Interfaith Council for New Americans in Westchester brought together people of many faiths and communities with a shared commitment: to make Westchester a welcoming home for families seeking safety and a new beginning.

Together, we helped nine refugee families rebuild their lives — a remarkable achievement made possible through generosity, dedication, and belief in the power of community. More than 450 individuals contributed their time, talents, and resources, forming a network of compassion that transformed lives — not only for the families we welcomed, but for all of us who walked alongside them. 

To ensure that this work continues, ICNAW has joined Neighbors for Refugees, a vibrant 501(c)(3) organization whose mission closely aligns with its own. Neighbors has the resources and expertise to support our families, to engage our volunteers, and to maximize the impact of the contributions that sustain our work. That work will continue, as, through Neighbors, we continue to help our families to face the challenges of our current environment.
