"I think we get a lot of fear phone calls now and we both feel more like mental health professionals than lawyers, talking clients off the ledge. Even people who do have status or in the process of obtaining lawful status, they're afraid to go places travel. So I just think there's a lot of fear and unknown more so than ever since I've been practicing.
I mean, our government unfortunately, has decided to declare war on people who are seeking refuge in the United States. They're detaining people even with pending cases that had never been done before in the history of our country."
