Jmel Wilson was among the original eight women who met around a kitchen table back in November 2016, who formed the core group of volunteers of what would become Neighbors for
Refugees.

Jmel has served as President, Board member, Vice President. and member of the Executive Committee since Neighbors' founding. She is the last of that original group of women still active after eight years.

It is through her dedication and tireless efforts that Neighbors thrived in its early years and had the capacity to welcome as many families as it has. For this, and the grace she has displayed throughout her time with Neighbors, Jmel Wilson is this year’s
honoree.
